Gavin is the C.E.O. of Analytical Forensic Investigation Services (South Africa) and the Managing Director of AFIS Global (Singapore). He held an Executive position for 7 years as Head of Group Risk for a top 100 black empowerment group in South Africa.
Gavin has a NQF 7 in Fraud Investigation Diploma in Business Management, Certification in Enterprise Risk Management and Close Protection, United States qualifications in Technical Counter Surveillance and Container Interdiction.
Gavin is also an Accredited Certified Fraud Examiner.
Based in Singapore, Nigel joined Roubler
as COO in September of 2017, Nigel has extensive knowledge of workforce management and fintech technologies. Before his appointment at Roubler, Nigel managed the innovations department at one of South Africa's largest publicly listed recruitment and labour placement companies. In this position, Nigel was responsible for the design and execution of different innovations that facilitated the management and payment of staff enhancing the company's overall value proposition.
A problem solver, Nigel won a Frost & Sullivan Africa award which facilitated off
shore workforce management solutions for the oil and gas industry in Angola, and the mining operations in the DRC.
In addition, Nigel implemented the first prepaid employer debit Mastercard in South Africa and pioneered the value add financial services offering to employees through a single source payment method that was part of the "unbanked" culture in South
Nigel holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in risk management and is currently completing his MBA through Henley University in the United Kingdom. Nigel has an affinity, drive and commercial acumen for start up and scale up businesses.

Jayde Troskie obtained a B.Com Honours degree in Strategic Brand Management from Vega School of Brand Leadership in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Jayde has a diverse marketing background, having worked for digital advertising agencies in South Africa, servicing multiple B2C and B2B clients. She headed up digital marketing for Lorna Jane South Africa, and recently ventured into a new region, Asia Pacific, where she currently implements marketing strategies for global software companies, SYSPRO and Roubler, based in Singapore.
Jayde joined the Chamber as a proud South African with the desire to grow the Chamber and strengthen business ties between South Africa and Singapore.
As a board treasurer Karl brings over 25 years experience working for a US listed company with a revenue of over US$ 2.0 billion running various roles including corporate governance, finance, managing a division and implementing systems and processes for new divisions.
Karl holds a B.Com Degree in Financial Accounting and Cost & Management Accounting.
Karl believes in work/life balance. He took up power lifting sport and has represented his country in various Commonwealth and World Championships over the last 15 years.
Caroline Berube is the Managing Partner of HJM Asia Law (with offices in China and Singapore). She is admitted to the New York Bar and Singapore Bar and holds a BCL (civil law) and an LL.B. (common law) from McGill University in Montreal. She studied Chinese law at the National University of Singapore in 1998/1999.
Caroline has been working in Asia for more than 20 years with SMEs, MNCs and foreign banks, advising them in the field of M&A and intellectual property.
With an extensive presence on the ground in Asia, Caroline is well versed in the opportunities and risks associated in China and many other Asia jurisdictions.
Caroline is also the author of a book "Doing Business in China" published by Lexis Nexis.
A passion for the sciences and business, drove Ebrahim's qualification as an engineer, that he complimented with an MBA in South Africa.
Ebrahim has vast senior management experience in various sectors; most recently within commodities. Trade and entrepreneurship are the cornerstone of his life, which have been enriched by international exposure in Singapore.
Jason has been based in Singapore for 3 years and is an Associate Director for IP Investment Management, a private equity real estate fund manager, with a focus on raising capital for global projects across alternate real estate sectors in developed markets.
Born and bred in Johannesburg, South Africa, Jason started his career in construction before moving to ABSA Bank from 2000 to 2015 in various leadership roles across the areas of Commercial Property Finance, Business Bank and Private Bank.
Jason has a Bachelor of Science in Building from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, Commercial Property and Property Development Certificates from the University of Pretoria and Graduate School of Business Cape Town. Jason was a member of the Kyiv Lions Club and is also an active board member of the Africa Society of Singapore.
Mark is the Vice President – Operations of Procosec Asia. He has over 25 years' business experience, recently as the Chief Financial Officer of a South African publicly traded company. Prior to this, he was a partner in an auditing and consulting practice, advising businesses across various industries on financial, operational and strategic matters, both in South Africa and internationally.
He has served on the board of companies in the Middle East and Africa, including the UAE, Egypt, Oman, Qatar, Botswana, Kenya, Mozambique and South Africa.
He is a Chartered Accountant (SA) and a Member of the Institute of Directors South Africa.
Michael is a Financial Consultant at St. James’s Place in Singapore. He strives to become a pillar in the community by adding value through efficient, effective and ethical financial planning. Working with clients holistically from investment and insurance planning to estate and trust planning.
In his free time, Michael is an avid adventurer who loves exploring the outdoors with his girlfriend Ashley by his side.
Dustin is the Founder & Director of Rare Gems Asia Pte Ltd. Educated and raised in South Africa, Dustin moved to the UK shortly after completing his bachelors degree at the University of Johannesburg. Having spent a few years working in the UK, he then moved to Singapore in 2009. Dustin was granted Singapore Permanent Residency in 2017.
Having begun his career in the wealth management arena more than 14 years ago. Dustin has completed a number of professional qualifications including the Singapore CMFAS requirements as well as the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments. He has been working as a wealth manager running his own practice within a FTSE 100 company and regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Dustin has gone onto selling his practice in early 2020.
Outside of the wealth management sector, Dustin setup Rare Gems Asia back in 2013. Achieving numerous professional qualifications in the field of Gemmology, most notably his diamond education at the Institute of Diamond Grading – De Beers (Antwerp) and his coloured stone education through the Gubelin Academy (Hong Kong/Switzerland). Dustin is a regulated dealer under the Ministry of Law’s Precious stones and Precious Metals Act.
Specialising in the sourcing and sale of Natural White Diamonds, Fancy Colour Diamonds, Sapphires, Emeralds and Rubies. A custodian of rarity - Dustin aims to educate, inform and provide an exceptional service to consumers looking to acquire these natural wonders both in Singapore and further afield.
Outside of the working world, Dustin is a die-hard Springbok rugby supporter, a keen cricketer and an active member of the Singapore Cricket Club.
After heading an Anglo American-owned manufacturing facility producing ceramic products, Ian transferred to its coal division in 1999. He led the marketing and logistics functions in Colombia during the acquisition and establishment of the Carbones del Cerrejón joint venture, a large coal mining operation. In this role, he established the CMC company in Dublin, Ireland, which is responsible for marketing of Cerrejón coal. He rejoined Anglo American in South Africa in 2003 where he worked in various business development, project and strategy roles. Ian was transferred to marketing in Singapore in 2014 to develop Anglo American’s global thermal coal marketing strategy, establish and support its trading activities and was responsible for marketing of Australian thermal coal.
Ian returned to South Africa in 2020 where he serves as non-executive director of a coal trading and brokerage firm.
