Yusuf Dockrat

Yusuf currently heads the APAC Legal team for the global workplace solutions business of CBRE, the largest listed commercial real estate services and investment company in the world. 

With over 14 years of experience, Yusuf has a wealth of international transactional experience across a range of industries. Originally from South Africa, Yusuf has been based in Singapore for the past 7.5 years. Prior to this,he has lived and worked in Johannesburg, London and The Hague giving him a truly global perspective on legal matters.

Yusuf commenced his legal career in South Africa with Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr/ DLA Piper’s Corporate team where he spent 6 years advising on complex M&A, IPO’s and capital markets transactions.

Yusuf was previously with Trafigura's downstream business Puma Energy, where he was responsible for managing legal across the Middle East and APAC. In this role, Yusuf worked closely with the senior leadership team and advised on a wide range of commercial matters, including M&A, commodity trading and supply agreements as well as overseeing the resolution of disputes. 

Prior to this, Yusuf spent 5 years with SES Satellites, the Luxembourg headquartered satellite operator where he advised on leasing agreements with data centre operators, governments, media companies and telcos through Africa and APAC.
